This bedroom is becoming my tween daughter’s room. We just started to play around and I painted this lampshade. It’s a little too sweet for me but she likes it. It was a free lampshade and leftover sample paint so I think a good upgrade for now.

Paint white 5 x 7 frames in @charlestontrust style! The kids helped and we are working on a big gallery wall in a hallway. I used @farrowandball sample pots and frames I picked up on Amazon.

I was super inspired by @thread__maker beautiful bows. So, I made one too. 🎀❤️🎀

I get the nostalgia of specific recipes — regional or otherwise — from our childhood. They are attached to our parents and grandparents' kitchens and being together. Every family seems to have at least one dish that’s dated, disgusting or just plain weird. Which makes me wonder why we are making these recipes in the first place? Are they so central to our core memories that Thanksgiving feels lost without them? But the bigger question is this: Do we actually like eating them?

My grandmother Barbara Elliott was born in Waterville, Maine on August 20, 1922. Her parents Jacob and Antonina Kachnovich immigrated here from Poland. We celebrated her life this past weekend and she was buried along side her husband in Augusta.
